A Devils/Rangers game should make for good television when 24/7 rolls around. What should make it even better is the fact that, apparently, Marian Gaborik stopped on a [expletive] puck or two.
1) Marian Gaborik, New York Rangers – Gaborik tallied two goals and an assist in New York’s 4-1 win over the Devils. Artem Anisimov and Carl Hagelin also scored for New York and Henrik Lundqvist stopped 30 of 31 shots for the win.
2) Evgeni Malkin, Pittsburgh Penguins – Malkin assisted on all three Pittsburgh goals in the Pens’ 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Chris Kunitz, James Neal and Tyler Kennedy scored for Pittsburgh and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 36 of 38 shots for the win.
3) Radim Vrbata, Phoenix Coyotes – Vrbata tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Coyotes to a 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers. Ray Whitney scored the other goal for the ‘Yotes and Jason LaBarbera stopped all eight shots he faced after replacing Mike Smith, who suffered an apparent groin injury late in the third period.

Nicklas Backstrom beats three Predators defensemen before wrapping the puck around and past Anders Lindback with this beauty.
Save of the Night
LaBarbera stops a penalty shot bid by Stephen Weiss right on the goal line – literally.
Fight of the Night
Mike Rupp gives Cam Janssen the business in this fight, dropping the gloves just three seconds into the tilt before the Rangers gave the Devils the business.
Minus of the Night
Clarkson misses Tim Erixon with a big hit and ends up head first into the bench. Thank goodness for him, it was the Devils’ bench.
