Antti Niemi
The San Jose Sharks have been on a tear lately, and
Antti Niemi is a huge reason why. He’s given up just six goals in his last five games, including his shutout Wednesday.

1  Antti Niemi, San Jose Sharks – Niemi stopped all 34 shots he faced Wednesday, including 13 in the second period, to down the Blackhawks. Jason Demers scored the lone goal in the game as San Jose won its fourth straight.

2  Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings – Datsyuk tallied a goal and two assists in Detroit’s 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames. Jimmy Howard stopped 19 shots and Tomas Holmstrom scored twice while Ian White and Valtteri Filppula each scored once for the Wings.

3  Kyle Okposo, New York Islanders – Okposo finally broke out after an extremely slow start to the season. He scored twice in the first period and assisted on Michael Grabner’s goal in the Isles' 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.

Play of the Night

This is an absolutely beautiful passing play by the Isles but all I can think is, “God, those uniforms are ugly.”

Save of the Night

Josh Harding makes this terrific save on Sergei Kostitsyn to keep the Wild within one:

Fight of the Night

Paul Gaustad answered the bell against Milan Lucic, even if it was a few games too late:
