Though it might pale in comparison to the grand scale of the Winter Classic, played on Monday, Sunday night’s lone offering on the NHL plate was nothing to scoff at, especially given the potential playoff ramifications it might hold for each team.
1) Sergei Kostitsyn, Nashville Predators – Kostitsyn tallied a hat trick in Nashville’s 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames. Along with Kostitsyn’s trick, Pekka Rinne stopped 17 of 20 shots for the win.
2) Kevin Klein, Nashville Predators – Klein had a goal and an assist for the Preds. Also scoring for Nashville was Matt Halischuk.
3) Jordin Tootoo, Nashville Predators – Tootoo had two assists, a team high four shots and two hits.
