Steven Stamkos
It is often joked that the Southeast is the “Southleast” division. On Tuesday, though, they were the cream of the crop.

1) Steven Stamkos, Tampa Bay Lightning – Stamkos broke a 1-1 tie to spark the Lightning’s four unanswered goals, scoring two in the second period. Bruno Gervais, Steve Downie and Vincent Lecavalier also scored for Tampa and Mathieu Garon stopped 31 of 32 shots for the win.

2) Evander Kane, Winnipeg Jets – Kane scored twice for the Jets, who downed the Colorado Avalanche 4-1. Tim Stapleton and Jim Slater also scored for the Jets and Ondrej Pavelec stopped 32 of 33 shots.

3) Justin Peters, Carolina Hurricanes – Peters may have gotten the loss, but he was still outstanding in defeat, stopping 48 of 52 shots, including 20 in the second period. Tim Brent and Tuomo Ruutu scored for the ‘Canes, who mustered just 18 shots on Marc-Andre Fleury.
