Nugent-Hopkins (above, left), Landeskog and Huberdeau (above, right) round out the top three, while Brent Burns goes to San Jose for Devin Setoguchi in a major trade. The first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft certainly had its share of fireworks, especially for a draft that proceeded so slowly. Surprising no one, the Edmonton Oilers selected Red Deer Rebels center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins with the first overall pick. "I'm definitely going to be able to relate to all the young guys in the system already," Nugent-Hopkins told reporters on Friday. "So just joining a group like that is very exciting for me. I just can't wait to get started." Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado), Jonathan Huberdeau (Florida), Adam Larsson (New Jersey), Ryan Strome (New York Islanders), Mika Zibanejad (Ottawa), Mark Scheifele (Winnipeg), Sean Couturier (Philadelphia), Dougie Hamilton (Boston) and Jonas Brodin (Minnesota) rounded out the top 10 picks. Scheifele told NHL.com after he was drafted that he had a feeling the newly-named Jets would be calling his name on Friday night. "At the end of the Winnipeg meeting they said, ‘How do you pronounce your name?' So that gave me a feeling, but I didn't want to be crushed if they didn't pick me. I wasn't totally sure." The hometown Minnesota Wild caused the most buzz, trading star defenseman Brent Burns and a second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft to the San Jose Sharks for right wing Devin Setoguchi, prospect Charlie Coyle and the 28th pick in this year's draft, which the Wild used to select Zack Phillips. The trade highlighted a flurry of deals that saw Chicago Blackhawks forward Troy Brouwer go to the Washington Captials for a first-round pick, Los Angeles Kings winger Ryan Smyth go to the Edmonton Oilers for Gilbert Brule, and Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell go to the Florida Panthers for defenesman Rostislav Olesz. The Toronto Maple Leafs also moved up eight spots, to 22nd overall, to select Tyler Biggs. The Ottawa Senators acquired a first-round pick from the Detroit Red Wings to select Matt Puempel from the Peterborough Petes. The first round of the draft ended with some highly touted names still on the board. Ty Rattie (ranked 17th by Central Scouting), Boone Jenner (18th) and Brandon Saad (19th) will have to wait until Saturday to have their names called, but for 30 players Friday night was a night that they will remember for the rest of their lives. 2 Gabriel Landeskog (RW) Colorado Avalanche 3 Jonathan Huberdeau (C) Florida Panthers 4 Adam Larsson (D) New Jersey Devils 5 Ryan Strome (C) New York Islanders 6 Mika Zibanejad (C) Ottawa Senators 7 Mark Scheifele (C) Winnipeg Jets 8 Sean Couturier (C) Philadelphia Flyers 9 Dougie Hamilton (D) Boston Bruins 10 Jonas Brodin (D) Minnesota Wild 11 Duncan Siemens (D) Colorado Avalanche 12 Ryan Murphy (D) Carolina Hurricanes 13 Sven Bärtschi (LW) Calgary Flames 14 Jamie Oleksiak (D) Dallas Stars 15 J.
