Bruins 5, Canucks 2 (series tied 2-2)

The Stanley Cup was in the house. Then it wasn’t.

There will be a seventh game in the 2010-11 Stanley Cup Finals after the Bruins routed the Canucks, 5-2 Monday at TD Garden. Vancouver, which entered the game with an opportunity to win the first Cup in its 40-year history, will host the last game of the season Wednesday night.

Boston set a Stanley Cup Final record for fastest four goals in a game by perforating Roberto Luongo (five saves on eight shots) and Cory Schneider (30 saves) in a 4:14 span of the first period. Brad Marchand, Milan Lucic, Andrew Ference and Michael Ryder scored between 5:31 and 9:45 of the first. Luongo was pulled after allowing the Ference goal. David Krejci added a power-play strike at 6:59 of the third period.

Tim Thomas turned away 36 of 38 shots. The only goals he allowed were off the sticks of Henrik Sedin and Maxim Lapierre.

Vancouver lost Mason Raymond to an undisclosed injury to his back in the first period.
