In addition to all of the festivities on Saturday, the NHL also introduced its All-Star city for 2013.Columbus, Ohio, the home of the Columbus Blue Jackets, has been chosen for the host of the 2013 NHL All-Star Celebration, which will take place on Jan. 26 and 27, the former of which will be the Molson Canadian NHL SuperSkills competition and the latter will be the 60th NHL All-Star Game.“We’re looking forward to bringing our All-Star celebration to Columbus,” Gary Bettman said. “The Blue Jackets did a great job of hosting the NHL Draft in 2007, and I have no doubt they will raise the bar even higher when they welcome our All-Star celebration next January.” Further information regarding the event, such as ticket information and special events like the Fantasy Draft and Fan Fair, will be released at a later date but the selection of Columbus marks the third straight year a first-time host city for the All-Star Game has been selected – both Raleigh and Ottawa were first-time hosts. |
