A puck from a power play point shot by Ryan Whitney glances off Jason Smith and past Biron. A snap shot on rush by Hossa finds the corner as the defensemen screens his goalie. A giveaway leads to a spin a rama goal by Ryan Malone. All these plays are about making your own breaks. The Flyers have been out-defensed. They are also making some curious decisions with puck. If you scored 1 or 2 goals a game, you will not win too many Stanley Cup playoff games. RJ Umberger scoring 10 goals this playoff season is remarkable. He only had 13 during the regular season, after all. Danny Briere in 7 regular season games had 1 goal against the Penguins. He has an assist in this series thusfar. Briere was the player that needs to come up big. He’s fast and determined. Mike Richards has played well. Jeff Carter has too, but without production. It’s easy to point fingers and judge. Derian Hatcher has scared the hell out of venturing forwards, but he is one man. If the Penguins move on, they will be only too happy to be done with dealing with him. I think the Flyers had a great season and it was way too much fun. Winning the previous two series made us greedy for more. My time to be satisfied with this season will come, but I hope during the rest of the games that “that time” comes later than sooner. Let’s dig in and scream at the Flyers for as long as we can. Let’s join in and taunght Sid “The Weenie” for as long as we can. Let’s be grateful for the great hockey team we have as well. Let’s Go Flyers!
